The Electrotechnical Skills Partnership (TESP), in collaboration with awarding organisations, has developed the Electrician Plus qualifications to ensure high standards and competence in the electrotechnical industry. These qualifications are part of the Electrotechnical Assessment Specification (EAS).

To be eligible for Electricians Plus qualifications, candidates must be qualified electricians who are current with the latest edition of the Wiring Regulations (no requirement for latest amendment, so 18th Edition achieved in 2018 is acceptable)

Additionally, if the core qualification is over 5 years old, candidates must provide an 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification certificate.
UNDERPINNING CORE TECHNICAL COMPETENCE
To meet the minimum requirements for this course, you must show that you have obtained any of the qualifications listed in Table 1, 2, 3 or 4.
If your qualification was earned more than five years before your intended course start date, you will also need to provide evidence of your 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification, as listed in Table 5.

If any of your qualifications were achieved more than 5 years prior to your start date you will need to provide evidence of your 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification*.
*The Level 3 Installation / Maintenance Electrician apprenticeship qualifications (C&G 5357 / EAL 7345) and Level 3 NVQ diploma (C&G 2357 / EAL 1605) include the requirements for the Wiring Regulations (BS 7671). If separate qualification certificates have not been issued, the Awarding Organisation or training provider can provide evidence.
