If you are an employer looking to up-skill your staff in electrical installation skills, then you need to read on. Trade Skills 4U have teamed up with Intertrain (a City & Guilds Group Business) to offer funded training for SME’s and large employers. What this means is that we can offer some big discounts on our special bootcamp programmes

What is a skills bootcamp?

Skills bootcamps are a flexible training programme specifically designed to make a positive impact on your employees working life. Your employees could gain a new role within your company, they could get new responsibilities, they could gain a pay rise or the company may even win a new contract based on the extra skills learnt through a Skills Bootcamp Programme. As long as you can show a clear positive outcome from the training and can confirm this, then up to 90% of the cost of the bootcamp could be funded.

At present we offer 2 skills bootcamps options:

  1. Domestic Electrical Installation Skills
  2. Domestic Electrical Installation & EV Car Charging Skills

How does it work?

The Skills Bootcamps we offer are designed specifically for employers up-skilling existing employees. Once you contact us, we will be able to provide advice on course details and dates. The process from there is simple:
  1. We will send you the relevant paperwork
  2. Once you return it we reserve your course place
  3. You will be introduced to our partner Intertrain
  4. You will pay your contribution to Intertrain
  5.  We deliver the training
  6. You provide Trade Skills 4U with a final letter confirming the employment outcome

Who is Eligible

Almost any employer is eligible for funding. Funding is greater for SME’s with less than 250 employees. It is also important that the company is based in England and that the employees place of work is in England. Your employees must be over 19 years old and have the right to work in the UK.

It sounds too good to be true, what’s the catch?

The Bootcamp scheme is excellent and there really isn’t a catch! You must support us by completing some extra forms and paperwork but that’s it. We will hold your hand throughout the process and, if you are able to fill out the initial forms and then provide the final letter, it should be plain sailing.

It is important to note that if you employee drops out of the bootcamp then you will be liable to pay for the course places in full.

How long does it take?

The training lasts around 4-5 weeks but must be completed in a maximum of 16 weeks. This means the training can be spread out or taken in one block, whatever you prefer.
