The C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing Plus EV Skills Bootcamp offers the perfect up-skilling solution for existing electricians seeking to enhance their expertise. Tailored for qualified electricians, this comprehensive package covers initial and periodic inspection and testing and also installation and maintenance of domestic and small-scale EV charging.
This course package has been developed specifically for the Government Skills Bootcamps meaning you can get funding for most or even all of the course fees including the books used on the course.
Skills Bootcamps offer flexible courses of up to 16 weeks that are free to learners. If you are unemployed, self-employed or an employer looking to upskill your staff in electrical installation or green skills we have funding opportunities that can vastly reduce the cost of training with us and in some cases fully fund it*.

The Inspection & Testing Plus EV Charging Skills Bootcamps qualification package offers the perfect up-skilling solution for existing electricians seeking to enhance their expertise.
This comprehensive electrical qualification package covers C&G 2391-52 initial and periodic inspection & testing and also C&G 2921-31 Design and installation of domestic and small commercial electric vehicle charging installations.
This 2-day course aims to enhance learners’ knowledge of the inspection and testing process in preparation for the 2391. Learners who undertake the 2391 are expected to have a good overall understanding of the inspection/testing process and be able to competently demonstrate the tests. This module enables learners to practice their inspection and testing techniques, under the supervision and guidance of their teacher to identify any areas for improvement and practice testing and filling out the relevant paperwork.
Learners build on their knowledge/skills in practical inspection and testing and learn to analyse/evaluate results. Learners will also understand the practices and procedures for periodic inspection and testing. Learners will apply their inspection and testing knowledge to existing installations, to evaluate if the installation is safe for continued service.
Aimed at existing electricians, supporting the development of knowledge/understanding of EV charging design/installation. Learners will understand specific requirements for the design/installation of domestic and small commercial EV charging installations.
As with all Skills Bootcamps, the Inspection & Testing Plus EV Package – Skills Bootcamp is free to learners.Â
However, based on the size of the business, employers may have to pay a small contribution as outlined below.
