At City & Guilds Training – Electrical we are expanding nationwide and seeking passionate Associate Trainers to join our team.
We are committed to the safe recruitment, selection and vetting of all staff, including the checking of application forms and the obtaining of references. The successful applicant will be required to undertake appropriate checks, including (depending on the role) an enhanced DBS disclosure as well as providing proof of the right to work in the UK. For roles undertaking regulated activity this will include not being able to accept applications from candidates who are barred from working with children.

We are looking for Associate Electrical Trainers to grow our industry-leading training centres based in Crawley, Purley, Birmingham, Portsmouth, Carlisle, Bristol, Doncaster and Crayford.Browse further details and how to apply below.
Who we're looking for?
We can't live without
- Recent and relevant industry experience in domestic, commercial and / or industrial Electrical Installation.
- A minimum of Level 3 Teaching qualification or equivalent.
- A minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
- A sound knowledge of Electrical and Science principles.
- Sound practical capabilities in and around Electrical Installations.
We would love you to have
- A Level 3 Assessing qualification or equivalent.
- Level 4 Internal Quality Audit certificate or equivalent.
- Level 3 & 4 electrical qualifications like C&G 2396, C&G 2391, and / or any green credentials like Solar PV, EV or EESS.
- A want to learn and give back.
- Willingness to travel for nationwide training delivery.
- Potential to work evenings and weekends.
As an Electrical Installations Teacher, your role will encompass delivering practical and theoretical electrical training, aligning with company, and awarding organisations’ guidelines.
You’ll handle courses such as C&G 2365 Level 2 & 3, C&G 2382, C&G 2391, C&G 2377, C&G 2921, as well as BPEC Solar PV and Battery Storage, while possibly developing training materials to meet specific requirements.
We are hiring electrical tutors for all of our nationwide centres.
Responsibilities
- Delivering high-quality electrical installation subjects consistently
- Assessing courses according to guidelines and maintaining accurate records
- Reviewing student performance and implementing necessary procedures
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, Equality & Diversity policies
- Collaborating effectively within the team and with external parties

Our brand new centre opened in July 2019 offering a full range of electrical courses for those based in Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester, Northampton and all over the midlands region.
Warrington

Our North West electrical training facility is situated just off Junction 10 of the M62 at Birchwood Park and is very accessible from towns such as Warrington, Manchester, Liverpool and Chester.
