What will I learn with this course?
Designed for existing electricians, the BPEC Solar PV Course provides quality training in the building trade. Ideal for those looking to upskill and provide services in the growing renewable energy sector, it supports application for MCS registration for those registered with a competent person scheme. The 5-day course covers essential skills for solar PV installation.
Specific pass rates are not provided, but BPEC's established record of delivering quality courses indicates a commitment to a high standard of training. We take immense pride in our outstanding success rates, with a remarkable 90%+ pass rate across the board. The Solar PV Course aims to equip participants with the necessary skills for successful solar PV installation.
Upon completion of the Solar PV Course, participants, especially existing electricians, will be well-prepared to offer services in the renewable energy sector. The course supports the application for MCS registration, enhancing credibility in the field of solar PV installation.
BPEC Solar PV Course: 5 days
To be eligible for the BPEC Solar PV Course, participants must meet one of the following requirements: N/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (Buildings and Structures) and BS 7671: 2018 Requirements for Electrical Installations (18th Edition) qualification. OR Equivalent earlier certification that includes Inspection & Testing and the current BS 7671: 2018 Requirements for Electrical Installations (18th Edition) qualification. Trainees can also enroll in the course if they meet the requirements of the Electrotechnical Assessment Specification (EAS) or have a minimum of 2 years' experience with demonstrable evidence and are a member of a Competent Person Scheme (CPS). Stand-alone technical certificates/vocationally related qualifications (VRQ) (non-competency based) are NOT acceptable.
