We would love to invite you to attend our ‘’Meet the Authors Blacktionary Event’’!
At City & Guilds we are helping people, organisations and economies develop their skills for growth by embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion in all that we do.
That is why this year, as part of our Black History Month agenda, we are pleased to host a series of events focused on improving inclusion so that the workplace can be an environment where a diverse workforce can thrive.
On Tuesday 17th October from 1:30-5pm we will host the Meet the Authors Blacktionary Event at our London office.
This is an opportunity to join an interview with Dr Maggie Semple OBE, FCGI and Jane Oremosu, Co-CEOs and Co-Founders of I-Cubed.
Dr Semple and Ms Oremosu are DEI experts and co-authors of ‘My Little Black Book’: A Blacktionary, the pocket guide to the language of race. The discussion will be followed by a Q&A session and an opportunity to meet the authors.
There will also be a panel discussion hosted by Cecilia Harvey, COO at City & Guilds. Cecilia will lead a group of experts in a conversation about the future of DEI in education across sectors, exploring themes around the impact of technology and the role of language.
