This online course covers the key skills to install, fault find and inspect and test electric vehicle charging points, teaching you all you need to know to become a competent installer.
Entry Requirements
This qualification covers the installation of charging points in domestic , on-street and commercial settings it is expected that candidates are practising electricians with a formal Level 3 qualification:

Course Content
This course will teach you how to design, specify, install, fault find, test and inspect electric vehicle charging points for both the commercial and domestic sector. This includes the ‘on street’ points.
Important: The cost of this courses includes the online learning (with the Learning Lounge), the exam and all course fees including VAT. You can only take your exam at one of our main centres if you book your course via Trade Skills 4U.

You will need to book both the practical and online assessments for the City & Guilds 2919 qualification, which must be taken at any of our main centres. You will have to complete 2 forms of assessment taken over 2 days. The cost of this course includes 1 attempt at the exam.
If you wish you can bring your own tester in for the practical assessment, however, it must comply with GS38.
Please note: You must bring a photographic ID with you, such as a driving license or passport in order to sit the assessments on this course.

This course is specifically designed for qualified electricians and installers who want to learn about the technical requirements and practical considerations when installing electric vehicle charging points.
There are no formal entry requirements, however candidates must have a solid grounding in electrical installation, be up-to-date with the 18th edition wiring regulations and have inspection and testing.
You will be able to install and test electric vehicle charging points in both domestic and commercial properties across England.
Acceptance on an industry recognised scheme is the decision of the registration body and is dependent on your experience, skills and knowledge level.
