Want to set up on your own?

This is an excellent gateway course with qualifications that let you register with scheme providers such as the NICEIC on their domestic installer schemes and self-certify your work. If you’re totally fresh to the industry you’ll need to get some practical experience behind you before registering. If you’re already in the industry, this course should allow you to register straight away. Each scheme will assess how competent you are - usually through onsite assessment and an online knowledge assessment. It’s worth a phone call to your chosen scheme to check. You can also complete an installer’s Part P certificate for building control for notifiable work. Building Control will take your competency and qualifications into account when certifying your installation. Our training is in-depth and as realistic as it can be - but we all know there is no substitute for real-world experience.
