Signing up to an apprenticeship or educational course can be a difficult decision if you're unsure on what career path to take. That's why at Trade Skills 4U we are offering 16 - 21 year olds the opportunity to come along for a taster week for free.
The next course will run for 5 days from Monday 6th March to Friday 10th March 2017.
These short practicalk courses will cover the following:
Workshop Course Content:
Ring final circuits (sockets)
Basic lighting circuits
2 way lighting circuits
2 way lighting and intermediate circuits
Radial power circuits (cooker points etc)
Earthing and bonding procedures
Zoning and selection of equipment
Selecting cable sizes and calculating load demands
Introduction to electrical regulations
Health & safety
Safe Isolation procedures
The taster week is designed to introduce you to give you some hands on skills that will be required every day working as an electrician or a domestic installer. It will also give you an idea of well suited you are to a career as an electrician.
It’s always wise to look before you leap and attending one of these electrical taster weeks could well help you make the right choice for your future.
In order to attend an electrical training taster week you must be:
Between 16 - 21 years old.
Interested in training as an electricians apprentice or electrical installation in general
Able to commit to a full week's training Monday – Friday, 9.00am-4.00pm.
