This course is intended for practicing electricians as part of the assessment for this qualification. Learners must hold one of the following and supply a copy on the first day of the course:

• 2357 Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (Buildings, Structures and the Environment)
• 2357 Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Maintenance)
• 5357 Level 3 Electrotechnical qualification
• 2356 Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services Experienced Worker
• 2346 Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification
• Other Awarding Organisations equivalences will also be acceptable
• Equivalent historical qualifications

or

• ECS Gold Card (electrical) , JIB Electrician or Approved Electrician Card (ECS)

If your qualification from the list above is more than 5 years old you must show an 18th Edition Qualification to show you are up to date with the latest regulations.

This qualification is designed for electricians who want to develop their existing skills to include installation and maintenance of single electric vehicle charging units in domestic properties and small commercial premises.

This qualification will give you a fundamental understanding on how to design and install domestic and small commercial electric vehicle charging equipment.

Typical examples include:

• 16 A (3.6 kW) and 32 A (7.2 kW) single phase units
• 11 kW and 22 kW three-phase units
