Blended Learning
Blended learning is simply a mix of classroom, workshop and online delivery.
Many of our courses use a mix of:
A number of courses have theory elements which can be delivered via Virtual Classrooms and E-Learning. However, there is no substitute for hands-on in-centre training when it comes to practical subjects. We know which subjects should be taught as E-Learning, which requires interaction with your tutor online (Virtual Classroom) and which need to be taught in centre.

What is virtual classroom training?
It’s the same as attending an in-centre course but online. You log in online and attend a live course session. You can follow the course, ask questions, have breaks and generally interact in a very similar way to in-centre courses. The only difference is you interact online. You can use a laptop, tablet or even a phone to access the classes and the software we use is designed to make the process and experience as smooth as possible.
We need to be clear this is not E-learning. You are not viewing a pre-recorded lesson that you can pause and start at any time. These sessions will be scheduled and taught live. As such spaces are limited just as they are on a real course. If you are scheduled to attend a virtual classroom you will be taking a limited space so please treat it like a normal class that you must attend.

What about the practical workshop training for my qualification?
Any practical element of your course will be completed in-centre – scroll down to the bottom of this page for details of available locations and to find the training centre closest to you.
When will I do my exams?
Once you have completed your course simply give us a call and we will book your exams for you. Exams usually take place on a Wednesday and Friday morning. Call 01293 529777 to find out suitable exam dates.

Our Mitre Court and Explorer 2 Facilities are just 2 minutes south of Gatwick Airport. They are comfortable, light and airy environments in which students can learn a wide range of practical and theory based skills.
Our brand new centre opened in July 2019 offering a full range of electrical courses for those based in Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester, Northampton and all over the midlands region.
Our Northern training facility is situated just off Junction 10 of the M62 at Birchwood Park and is very accessible from towns such as Warrington, Manchester, Liverpool and Chester.
Phoenix House has raised the bar for electrical training centres in the UK. It’s situated east of Leeds, just off of the M1 / A1. This makes it easily accessible from Leeds, Sheffield, Hull, York, Harrogate and all over Yorkshire.
Our centre in Central London is based right next to the old bailey, Smithfield Market and St Barts Hospital. We currently only offer electrical courses for experienced electricians from Central London.
