This course is an entry level course to Plastering for those wishing to undertake Plastering projects around the home.
It is also the Foundation Course for our Professional Course below for those wishing to enter the Plastering industry or maybe to add Plastering to your skills base and undertake plastering jobs for your customers if you are perhaps an existing tradesperson like a plumber or kitchen fitter etc
- Health and Safety Requirements, the correct use of materials, equipment and tools
- Planning fixing and cutting Plasterboard, gypsum board, tools and fixings
- Angle beads cutting, fixing, using jointing tape
- Using a plasterers Hawk and Trowel, applying plaster to block work, plasterboard, the correct way and the knack of how to apply the plaster and produce a good finish
- Exterior rendering, materials, levelling, finishing
- Applying gypsum based backing plasters
- Skimming and finishing to a smooth finish ready for decorating
- Invisible repairing damaged plasterboard
- Tools and equipment advice and training
