Our 5 day VRQ Part P Certification Course will bring you right up to the required safety and legal standards, enabling you to competently install your domestic electrical work, compliant with Building Regulations Part P.

After gaining your EAL VRQ Certificate with Trade Skills 4U, you are able to register to become a competent domestic electrical installer, with the ability to install, inspect, test and certify your work in accordance with BS 7671.

And, if you register with a Competent Person Self-Certification Scheme such as NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA, you can self-certify your installation work and provide your customers with a Part P compliant certificate.

• Electrical Safety legislation, regulations standards and terminology
• Pre work survey/inspection

• Earthing and bonding requirements
• Electrical test procedures
• Cable and component selection
• Installation and replacement of electrical components
• Checking the correct and safe operation of installed electrical components
• Recording of electrical test results and completion of certification

• New circuit requirements
• Installing Domestic Lighting Circuits
• Maintaining Domestic Electrical Installations
• Basic Understanding of 3 Phase Supplies

Entry Requirements

You must be able to complete the skills of the 2-day foundation or 5 day electrical foundation courses unaided before attending the EAL VRQ Level 2 Part P course.
