Experienced Electrician Qualification Course   

This course gives you two qualifications to update and enhance your professional skills. You can take them together or separately depending on your work commitments.  

The 17th Edition update 2382-20 City & Guilds Certificate (one day)  

The Part P 2393 City & Guilds Certificate (one day) 

This course is suitable for experienced electrical installers and allied trades who already have their 16th Edition wiring regs since June 2001 or equivalent for the 17th edition. 

There is no pre-requirement for the Part P. 2393 course.

Course Content:   

The course content of this course is entirely classroom based learning.

17th Edition 2382-20 - Day One

Scope, object and fundamental principles  

Definitions  

Assessment of general characteristics  

Protection for safety  

Selection and erection of equipment  

Inspection and testing  

Special installations or locations  

Appendices

This culminates in a one hour, 30 question online test.

Part P City & Guilds 2393 - Day Two

This knowledge based Level 3 qualification is to enable practising electricians, operating in the domestic environment, to gain an understanding of how electrical installations in dwellings must comply with all relevant Building Regulations.  

It is suitable for those working in the electrical trades, building trades and others who require a working knowledge of how electrical installations in dwellings can affect the building construction.  

Culminates in a 40 minute, 20 question online test
